Student Review: Torch Red: Color Me Torn by Melody Carlson

Torch Red: Color Me Torn by Melody Carlson

This book is about a high school girl named Zoe. She is a junior in high school and is quickly learning about peer pressure from her friends. Especially the pressure faced when it comes to boys and how far she is willing to go with them. In Torch Red, you see high school relationships through the eyes of your average teenage girl. You also see the different ways people react to feeling pressure from their friends and wanting to please others. You can really see how different people react when relationships between friends, family, and significant others are put to the test. It’s a great read and I recommend it to all high school girls. If I had to give this book a rating it would probably be 7 out of 10; it wasn’t the best book I have ever read, but it is worth your while and it is relatable. Give it a try!
