Student Review: Debt Free U by Zac Bissonnette

Debt Free U by Zac Bissonnette

There are several people in the world who are planning on going to college after graduating from high school, or at least sometime in their life. But as the years go on, more and more students and parents have had to resort to using student loans to pay for their secondary education. This can lead to a lifetime of debt, and to people looking up to a net worth of zero. No student should have to start their lives on their own like that. People should be able to graduate from college with nothing but the future possibilities on their mind, not how they’re going to be able to meet their own loan payments.

No worries. My buddy Zac is here to help.

Enter Zac Bussonnette. Zac is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He’s also a writer and editor with AOL Money & Finance. He writes daily for DailyFinance.com, AOL’s financial news and analysis destination, he’s been on CNN, and done scads of other things finance related ever since he was in high school. He knows how to go through college without loans, scholarships, or mooching off the ‘rents. And lucky for us, he’s gonna give us the road map to helping the average person do the same.

This book is an amazing resource for how to pay for college. Bissonnette not only gives tips to the parents and students, but he also gives some excellent advice about what to do when choosing classes, picking a college, and how to survive the college rep’s sales pitch.

I recommend this book to anyone who is planning to go to college, whether it be right after high school, or twenty years from now when you’ve got a clan of juniors running around the house. Yes, this is a book about finance, but it is well worth the time an effort put into it.
